The five poems are short, emotional and descriptive texts, which include several direct references to locations and places in Busan like Haeundae, Gwangan Bridge, Jagalchi and the Busan Wildlife Rehabilitation Center located opposite from MOCA museum.

KIM Hyesoon, Poet

KIM Hyesoon is a poet born in Uljin, Korea in 1955. Beginning as a poet in 1979 with the publication of Poet Smoking a Cigarette and four other poems in Literature and Intellect, she has published 10 poetry collections including, From Another Star, Father’s Scarecrow, The Hell of a Certain Star, Our Negative Picture, My Upanishad, Seoul, Poor Love Machine, To the Calendar Factory Supervisor, A Glass of Red Mirror, Your First, and Sorrowtoothpaste, Mirrorcream. Her collections that are translated in English include: Mommy Must be a Fountain of Feathers, All the Garbage of the World, Unite!, Blossom Pig, Autobiography of Death and Phantom Pain of Wings. She has received multiple literary prizes including the Kim Su-Yong Literary Award, Sowol Poetry Literature Award, Midang Literature Award, Daesan Poetry Award, Lee Hyoung-Gi Literary Award, and Griffin Poetry Prize.
