Inspired by Songdo Beach which is a vacation spot, this work takes the form of a beach hat with a broad brim worn commonly on the beach. As this hat has star-shaped holes on the brim, the viewer can see the stars even in daylight - in the shadow of this hat. For safety and robustness, this work is made of steel.The stars in this work represent a dream. The stars can be seen when it gets dark. Although the stars are still there in the sky during the day, we think that they disappear in the day because we can't see them. There is darkness even in the daylight - a shadow. You can see darkness under the trees, under the brim of a hat, in the drawers, behind your back and in your shut eyelids. And in the darkness, we can find the stars, dreaming small and big dreams. A dream is not something that you have only in your sleep. Your dream comes true when you dream it during the day, too.
